Who we are
GuidesWay is a Home Seller Advocate Program operated by HomeSwerv LLC, an Ohio company. Our mailing address and contact information are available at the bottom of this page.
GuidesWay provides free tools, educational content, and guidance for home sellers. We may also facilitate introductions to licensed real estate professionals when a seller requests this and meets our referral standard.
What we collect and why
We collect information only when you choose to share it with us. Here is what we collect and why:
- Contact information (name, email address, phone number) — to respond to your inquiry and follow up with resources relevant to your situation.
- Property information (address, property type, estimated value) — to provide guidance and tools that are relevant to your specific property and location.
- Selling situation (timeline, motivation, situation type) — to understand your goals and provide relevant information. This information is documented before any referral is made.
- Project plan data (tasks, risks, decisions, staffing choices) — if you use the Home Sale Project Planner and choose to save your plan. This is stored so you can return to your plan and we can follow up with relevant resources.
- Usage data — we use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service, to understand how visitors use the site. Fathom does not use cookies or collect personal information.
What we do not collect
- Payment information of any kind — GuidesWay does not process payments directly
- Social Security numbers or government identification
- Information about minors
- Sensitive financial account details
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry with relevant tools, resources, or information
- To follow up with guidance specific to your property, state, and selling situation
- To save and restore your Home Sale Project Plan if you choose to save it
- To facilitate a professional introduction — only if you request it and only after a personal assessment by our team
- To improve the platform and the resources we provide
What we never do
- Sell your contact information to real estate agents, lead platforms, or any third party
- Share your information without your knowledge
- Automatically refer you to a real estate agent — all referrals require personal review and explicit consent
- Send unsolicited marketing to your phone or email beyond what you've consented to
How your information is stored
Information you submit is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider with enterprise-grade security practices. Data is stored in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or rent your information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers — companies that help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics). These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
- Licensed real estate professionals — only if you have explicitly requested a referral and our team has conducted a personal assessment. You will know this is happening before it happens.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the information we have about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information
- Opt out of future communications at any time

Cookies
GuidesWay does not use tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Fathom) is cookieless. If any third-party tools we use set cookies, they will be for functional purposes only (such as form security) and will be disclosed here.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date. Continued use of GuidesWay after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
